The story
Snow, lamplight, and forty-one stockings
Nine days before Christmas, the snow comes to Thornhaven.
The bakery is running all night. The children are hanging their stockings. Lanterns shine along Copperbrook Lane for the Festival of Lights, and the old clock on the Town Hall is three minutes slow, the way it has been every day since Cael Ashford arrived.
But the clock isn't broken. And the enchanted toys piling up in the workshop, the ones every child in the village once found in their stocking on Christmas morning, are hiding a secret of their own. Somewhere along the way, Father Christmas stopped coming to Thornhaven, and Cael never knew.
Now there are forty-one children, one snowbound road, a friend racing a storm to get home by Christmas Eve, and a cat who knows far more than he is telling.
Perfect for a winter evening with a cup of tea going cold beside you.

Every child in Thornhaven, and only nine days to fill them all.
The bakery, all night

A race against the storm

Whiskers
The workshop cat knows far more than he is telling. As usual.
